Happy Today, Friend!
The problem with the past is, you can’t change it. You may be one of the rare few who wouldn’t change anything, but many would like to, and although they can’t, they will still spend a lot of their time mulling over and regretting long-gone digressions and indiscretions.
And as for the future, well, send me a postcard when you get there, I’m hoping to start a collection soon…
The good news is, you can do something right now – and something new, too! Something you’ve never done before. Something creative – why not, you know me, I had to slip that in there. I’m not just talking about making a cup of tea here, but if that would accompany today’s actions, great!
When you work on something cool NOW, you forget the past pretty quickly, which is good, because, you can’t change it, you know?
Not only that, but you’ll be creating fun future pasts, if that makes sense, that you can look back on and appreciate and enjoy the fact that you did those things – the things you’re going to do today, I mean. But only if you do them.
Involving someone else in today’s endeavours is even better for the memory bank. You could go to a new exhibition with a friend and chat about it afterwards in a cute little café somewhere. Or you could create something for someone special and then give it to them and bask in their pleasure, which reflects straight back to you, of course. Brilliant!
I invite you to post your ‘Today’s the day…’ in our Facebook group as often as you like. And comment on other folks’ TTDs too. Thank you for being part of this and for choosing to live a great life, loving every sunrise to sunset, today and every day.
